Please join us for this webinar to learn more about our joint initiative with Deloitte and the Asian Harmonization Working Party (AHWP) to build a Competency Framework for MedTech Regulators.
Following the publication in 2018 of a white paper laying out a Competency Framework for Regulatory Professionals within the MedTech Industry, APACMed embarked on this new project to build capacity among MedTech Regulators across the region, which ultimately will ensure better access to lifesaving medical products for patients.
Indeed, over the last decades, international organizations, government agencies, NGOs, academia, associations, and industry have come together to build a sustainable talent pipeline of regulatory professionals across both the public and the private sectors.
However, the efficiency and effectiveness of these efforts have been questioned, and trainings have been deemed to be, at times, too infrequent or inconsistent. Multi-stakeholder training initiatives, better-coordinated training resources, as well as the standardization of regulatory curricula have therefore been identified as paramount.
About AHWP: In 2016, APACMed became Official Liaison Member of the Asian Harmonization Working Party (AHWP), a non-profit organisation comprising experts from the medical device regulatory authorities and the medical device industry in 30 Member Economies across Asia and beyond.
About Deloitte: Deloitte joined APACMed as an associate member in 2016 and has collaborated with the association on a number of projects in regulatory and compliance.
